”If you’re thinking of taking a vacation in China, you’ve come to the right place.
“Travelsignposts China” has been designed to help people just like you who are thinking of visiting China – either on your own, touring by coach or river cruise, or in a mixture of different ways – decide where you want to go.
Most of the information here was gathered on our last month-long trip to China in 2014, which included a cruise down the Yangtze River and had a special emphasis on Yunnan. So we don’t cover all of China at the moment, just the places we visited recently. This site is an offshoot of our main travel planning website "Travelsignposts" which has wide coverage of Europe and the Mediterranean.
How will Travelsignposts China help me?
Well, we’re gradually putting up eyewitness reports, background information and practical tips about places in China to help you plan your trip. But the big deal is our photo gallery that shows you photos of destinations to give you an idea of what the places are really like. We’ve got a lot of photos and videos which we’re uploading as we process them, it’ll be pretty comprehensive, and more importantly, all gathered conveniently together on one site!
Travelsignposts also markets owner Tony Page’s "Take Better Digital Photos" E-book and Guerrilla Travel Photography E-book.
Who are the people behind Travelsignposts?
The owners of Travelsignposts are professional photographer and writer Tony Page and his prolific blogger wife, Helen. She’s the pretty one and he’s the one on the left.
If you’d like to know more about us and the story behind Travelsignposts, why not check out this page on our main Travelsignposts site?
About the photographs…
Our main aim in putting together this site has been to give you a realistic view of the various destinations. This means if the skies were grey and it was raining, that’s what you see – believe it or not, the skies are not always blue in China, in spite of the travel brochures (we did have pretty good weather, though!).
We are also building an extensive database of useful links and travel information, so if you have any suggestions, please send them in…
Meanwhile, happy travelling, and we’d love to hear from you!
